A true witch, a good witch, is simply a woman who is in touch with the harmonious healing forces of nature.
Women are naturally more earthed, in touch with their bodies, and connected to the heart.
Some men became fearful and envious as a result.
Their solution was to try to control these women with shame, as a way to diminish their power.
Man has always attempted to control the uncontrollable and tame the wild forces of the feminine.
And this is something still playing out today.
With the founding of organized religion, men felt threatened by wise women such as priestesses and witches, for they were a living demonstration that no priest, church, or dogma is required to connect to the Divine.
These women already had a felt connection to God and naturally understood how to work with the universal forces of nature.
So the term witch, (a once innocent word that meant seer or wise woman), became an ugly and frightening word, riddled with judgment and shame.
Yet the word witch, only became negative with the advent of religious dogma, splitting women from their role as conduits and bridges to a Higher Power.
The key for any woman healing the witch wound is to take back the meaning of this word for herself, to remember Her True Nature, to decondition from any fearful programming, and to begin to step into the fullness of her creative heart power.
Remember, the word WITCH, when understood through a lense of heart, compassion, and innocent perception, simply means …
… a ‘Woman In Total Control of Herself!’
